1980s

Jheri Redding proudly introduces the newest Nexxus product as Versastyle by taking out color print ads in magazines across the country. It can only be found in hair salons. You need a beauty license to purchase it. It is advertised as a styling agent for all hair types.

1990s

Nexxus continues to change the formula and renames it Versastyler. Although salons are not the only place you can find it. Now some pharmacies and other stores carry it. Jheri Redding retires in 1991.

2000

Nexxus continues to change the formula and renames it Versastyler. Although salons are not the only place you can find it. Now some pharmacies and other stores carry it. The availability seems to be scarce at times. The bottles keep changing.

2012

Nexxus discontinues Versastyler. They change their labeling and offers a curly hair line which quickly changes often.
